Editorial policy

Three dates on every page, and what each one means.

The three dates

  • Published — first publication.
  • Updated — last substantive edit. Feeds dateModified.
  • Verified — last time a human opened the vendor’s pricing page and the platform’s policy page and confirmed the numbers in the article still hold.

A page that has not been verified in 90 days shows a warning box at the end. That is not decoration — it is the honest status of the claim.

Sources

Primary sources only: the vendor’s own pricing page, the platform’s own policy page, the affiliate network’s own payout documentation, and Nigerian regulator publications (FCCPC, NDPA, ARCON) where the question is legal. Secondary sources are used to find a question, never to settle one.

Images and AI

Illustrations may be AI-generated and are labelled when they are. Screenshots of real dashboards are never generated — a synthetic screenshot of a payout page is a lie with a border around it.

Corrections

Corrections are appended in plain text with a date, at the bottom of the page, including cases where we were simply wrong. Pages are never quietly rewritten to look correct in hindsight.

Stale page protocol

At 90 days the warning appears. At 180 days the page is either re-verified, trimmed back to what is still true, or redirected into a live page with a 301. Dead pages get redirected — they are not deleted, because the links earned by an out-of-date page still deserve to land somewhere useful.
