Google Flow Pricing in Nigeria: What It Really Costs in Naira

Google Flow is free at 50 credits a day, but Quality clips need a paid Google AI plan. Full naira cost table for Plus, Pro and Ultra, plus how to pay from Nigeria.

The short version

  • Flow has no price of its own — you pay for a **Google AI plan**. Free is ₦0 at 50 credits a day; Plus is about **₦7,000/month**, Pro about **₦28,000/month**.
  • The free tier gives roughly 1,500 credits a month (50 a day, no rollover) — more than Plus’s 200. What Plus actually buys is the **Quality model and 1080p upscaling**.
  • A Quality clip costs about **₦2,800 on Pro** and **₦3,500 on Plus** in naira. Price your client work against that number, not against the subscription price.

Google Flow is the cheapest serious AI video tool a Nigerian can start using today, and the pricing page is genuinely confusing about it. There is no “Flow subscription”. Flow is a front-end that spends credits, and credits come from a Google AI plan.

So the real question is not “what does Flow cost” but “which plan, if any, is worth ₦28,000 a month to me?”

Here is the whole thing, in naira, with the two traps that catch people.

The plans, converted to naira

All prices are US list prices as published by Google, converted at a planning rate of ₦1,400 to the dollar — above the official NFEM rate of roughly ₦1,347 in early November 2026, because that is closer to what your bank or a virtual dollar card actually charges once the FX markup lands.

Google AI planUSD / monthNaira / month (at ₦1,400)Monthly Flow creditsPlus 50/day free
No subscription$0₦00~1,500
AI Plus$4.99≈ ₦7,000200~1,500
AI Pro$19.99≈ ₦28,0001,000~1,500
AI Ultra (5x)$99.99≈ ₦140,00010,000~1,500
AI Ultra (20x)$199.99≈ ₦280,00025,000~1,500

Read the last column twice. Every account gets 50 credits a day, and every paying account gets its monthly allowance on top of that. Over a 30-day month the free daily credits are worth about 1,500 — several times what AI Plus adds.

That is the first thing the pricing comparison pages get wrong.

What the free tier can and cannot do

A generation costs credits, not requests:

  • Veo Lite — 10 credits (5 on Ultra)
  • Veo Fast — 20 credits (10 on Ultra)
  • Veo Quality, 8 seconds — 100 credits for everybody

So with 50 credits a day you can make five Lite clips or two Fast clips, and the credits reset at midnight — they do not accumulate. A Quality clip costs 100 credits, which you can never reach in a single day on the free tier.

That single line explains the entire pricing structure: the free tier is capped by the day, not by the month. Google is not selling you more clips. Google is selling you the quality tier and the upscaling.

On the free tierIncluded?
Veo Lite and Fast generationYes, 50 credits a day
Veo Quality (100 credits)No — cannot be reached in one day
1080p upscalingNo — subscription only
Commercial use of your outputYes, subject to Google’s terms — read them before you invoice

Naira cost per usable clip

This is the number that matters, because nobody delivers the first generation to a client. Assume three attempts per usable clip — that is optimistic, not pessimistic.

PlanNaira per Quality clipNaira per usable Quality clip (3 attempts)
AI Plus (200 credits = 2 clips)≈ ₦3,500≈ ₦10,500
AI Pro (1,000 credits = 10 clips)≈ ₦2,800≈ ₦8,400
AI Ultra 5x (10,000 credits = 100 clips)≈ ₦1,400≈ ₦4,200
Free tier, Lite₦0₦0

On Pro you get ten Quality generations a month. At three attempts per usable clip, that is three usable Quality clips a month for ₦28,000 — about ₦9,300 each.

If you are charging ₦15,000 for a 20-second product video, that is survivable. If you are charging ₦5,000, Pro is eating your margin and the free tier is the correct answer.

The break-even line: divide your monthly plan cost by the number of usable clips it produces, then compare with your per-video price. Pro stops being a luxury at roughly two client videos a month at ₦15,000.

Two traps in the fine print

1. Your credits are tied to a billing relationship. A failed card on renewal does not just pause the plan — it can interrupt access mid-project. If a client deadline depends on a paid plan, keep a month of buffer in the card and never run the card to zero.

2. Upgrading spends what you already have. Moving from free to a paid plan forfeits whatever free credits are sitting in the balance. Do the Quality work you were saving credits for before you subscribe, or accept that the upgrade itself is the spend.

How to pay for a Google AI plan from Nigeria

This is the part that actually stops people, and it is the same problem across every dollar-priced AI tool.

  1. A naira debit card with international billing enabled. Works sometimes. Recurring charges fail more often than one-off charges, so confirm with your bank that international recurring billing is on, not just international POS.
  2. A domiciliary account card. The most reliable route if you already hold USD. Budget for the bank’s FX spread on top of the list price.
  3. A reputable virtual dollar card. Convenient, but check the funding fee, the monthly maintenance fee and whether Google accepts that card’s BIN. A ₦2,000 funding fee on a ₦7,000 subscription is a 28% surcharge — at which point Plus costs more than the value it adds.
  4. Never a reseller “shared account” or gift-card top-up. It breaks Google’s terms, it can kill the account with your projects inside it, and you have no recourse. This is the single most common way Nigerians lose paid AI accounts.

Whatever route you use, put the real naira figure — not the dollar figure — in your rate card. A client does not care that Google charges $19.99; they care that the video costs ₦35,000.

The verdict

Start free. Stay free until a client job requires Quality or 1080p. The daily allowance is generous enough to learn prompting properly, build a portfolio of spec pieces and deliver Fast-tier social cuts.

Buy AI Plus only if you need Quality or upscaling occasionally — it is ₦7,000 for two Quality generations and the upscale, and the rest of the month still runs on daily credits.

Buy AI Pro when you have paying clients, not before. ₦28,000 a month is roughly two ₦15,000 videos, and if you have those two videos, you have the justification.

Ultra is for studios. ₦140,000 a month is a business decision about volume, not a creator decision about quality.

The tool is not the bottleneck. The bottleneck is having a client who wants a video this week — which is the part the AI Video System course is actually about.

Questions we get asked

Is Google Flow free in Nigeria?

Yes. Every account gets 50 Flow credits a day at no cost, roughly five Veo Lite clips or two Fast clips. The credits reset daily and do not stack, so they cannot be saved up for a Quality clip.

How much is Google Flow in naira per month?

Flow rides on Google AI plans. At a ₦1,400 planning rate that is roughly ₦7,000 for AI Plus, ₦28,000 for AI Pro, and ₦140,000 or ₦280,000 for the two AI Ultra tiers. Your bank rate will be higher than the official NFEM rate — budget for it.

Can I pay for Google AI with a Nigerian card?

Sometimes. Naira debit cards with international billing enabled often fail on Google recurring charges. A domiciliary account card or a reputable virtual dollar card is more reliable. Reseller accounts and gift cards break Google’s terms and put the account at risk.

Do I need to pay to make videos for clients?

Not to start. Free-tier Lite and Fast clips are good enough for product videos and social cuts. Pay when the job requires the Quality model or 1080p output — and quote the client enough to cover it.

Does upgrading to Plus give me more credits than the free tier?

Per month, no. Plus adds 200 monthly credits on top of the 50 daily ones, but the daily allowance alone is about 1,500 a month. Pay for Plus for the Quality model and upscaling, not for volume.
